Message from President and Executive Director

Welcome to the Volusia County Medical Society Website. The purpose of this website is to bring all of our members together in one website to facilitate easier communication, and to share with our community who we are.

Our mission is the cultivation and advancement of the medical sciences, the promotion of public health and hygiene, the enactment and enforcement of just medical laws, the enlightenment and direction of public opinion in regard to problems in medicine, and to bring into one organization every qualified physician in Volusia County to make effective the opinion of the medical profession in all scientific, legislative, public health and social affairs; and, with other state associations to formally maintain the American Medical Association.

We are providing our members, you, with a strong voice and active representation in the State Legislature. The more members we have, the more power we have in Tallahassee. So, with your continued membership, we pledge to help you fight the burden of more legislation, more regulation, more government expenditures, more taxation, and less freedom for your patients. We pledge our hard work and diligence to help you survive the many challenges facing the medical profession as well as your individual practice.

As your President and Executive Director, and on behalf of your Board of Governors, we would like to thank you personally for your continued support over the years, and for your ongoing support in the future.
